You can use your Spectranet SIM on a third- party device, not just Android. In this post, we’ll be explaining all the steps and settings to follow for it to work.
Before we begin, it is important to note that the Spectranet SIM only supports 4G LTE band 40 (2300). This means that your Android smartphone, iPhone, tablet or any third-party device you intend on using must support this 4G LTE band 40 for this to work. Check your device’s specs online to ensure to supports this particular band.

NB: Only Huawei phones seem to work with Spectranet 4G for now, but you test your Android phone to see if it works with the following settings.

How to use Spectranet SIM on Android phone

To use your Spectranet SIM on an Android phone you’ll need different APN settings from the traditional one used in Spectranet modems and Mi-Fi. Below is the APN settings for Android;

  • APN Settings Name: Spectranet 4G
  • APN: spectranet
  • Username: test1@spectranet.com.ng
  • Password: test1
  • Proxy: Leave Blank
  • IP Version: IPv4

Spectranet APN settings for iPhone and iPad

  • APN Settings Name: Spectranet 4G
  • APN: spectranet
  • Username: test1@spectranet.com.ng
  • Password: test1
  • Proxy: Blank
  • IP Version: IPv4

APN Settings For Spectranet modems or supported Mi-Fi,

  • APN Settings Name: Spectranet 4G
  • APN: spectranet
  • Access Number: *99# (not require in all modems)
  • Username: test1@spectranet.com.ng
  • Password: test1
  • Proxy: Blank
  • IP Version: IPv4

Note if the Spectranet SIM card is newly bought and you don’t have a Spectranet modem or Mi-Fi to unlock it, just look for a Huawei smartphone that supports the 4G LTE band 40. Insert the new Spectranet SIM card in the Huawei smartphone, browse for a few whiles and you can insert it to any smartphone you wish. For some unknown reason(s),Spectranet has a mutual relationship with Huawei.
