MTN has launched the first artificial intelligence chatbot service for its Mobile Money (MoMo) platform on 7th of June 2019.
The chatbot went live in Cote d’Ivoire in May and will be rolled out across all MTN MoMo in the next few months.
The Al Mobile money assistant enables users to engage in MTN MoMo services including payments, on various social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and via SMS.
MTN said the chatbot would also be included in its own newly-released instant messaging service, named “Ayoba”.
